Collaboration with Marcus Cope

Marcus Cope is a painter, curator and co-founder of The Marmite Prize. A poster of our painting The Four Tates has been exhibited in Pimlico tube and featured on the cover of the Tate Enterprises staff handbook but the painting itself has never actually been exhibited anywhere.
Each square is based on the collections of a different Tate (Modern, Liverpool, St Ives, Britain). This is what it looked like in the tube station a few months back...

Collaboration with Blacklist Editions

Blacklist Editions are a London based screen printing company run by Jonas Rannson.
Jonas and I will be working on a Warhol inspired print based on a photo of me dressed as Elvis Presley (who died at the age of 42). Below is a photo of Jonas at his studio helping Gordon Beswick and I hold a print we made for Elefest.

Collaboration with John Moseley

"Warhol's Superstars" by John Moseley and myself is quite large: 182cm wide, 91cm high. As you can see in the photo below we've barely half completed this painting of Gerard Malanger, Brigid Berlin, Ingrid Superstar, Ultra Violet, Viva, Baby Jane and all the other Factory regulars.
In 2003 John and I made edited a publication called "Pippa: The Magazine for Depressed Women, published by Men". We launched it at The Flacca gallery in London and The Permanent Gallery in Brighton. I also appeared in "Tummy Bug" a film that John wrote and directed in 2004.

Collaboration with Liz Murray

Liz Murray completed her MA Fine Art at Chelsea in 2005. She was the recipient of the Red Mansion Art prize, which took her to Bejing in 2006. Recent exhibitions include 2010 ‘Pack of Fifteen’, Lucky Strike, London, ‘Is Mary Here Again?’, 2009 Waygood Gallery, Newcastle Upon Tyne; 2008 ‘Terminal’, Tate Britain, London; Jess Flood-Paddock / Liz Murray’, Standpoint Gallery, London. Murray has been selected for a 3- month residency at Futura, Prague to explore the transformation of the Golem from Jewish myth to city souvenir emblem
Liz Murray and I have begun researching each other's roots. Liz comes from Southall (in Ealing, West London) and I come from Lewisham (in South London). We plan to make maps of each other's childhood homes. It's likely that the maps will be made slightly in the style of Outsider artist Howard Finskter.

Collaboration with Sarah Sparkes

Sarah Sparkes is a talented artist and curator I've known for quite some time. And it was the exhibition Sarah put together on her 42nd birthday that partly inspired me to do this project We collaborated on a painting before...
We're currently working on a painting of rock musican/author Julian Cope visiting Stonehenge.  (While Sarah has been doing her research) I recently tried drawing him... more images to follow soon.

Collaboration with Elsa Tierney

Elsa Tierney is an award winning jewelry designer. A few years back she generously gave me a birthday broach...
Her attempts at capturing my sensitive features impressed me and so I was delighted when she recently agreed to work on a series of new broaches with me. (Images to follow soon)

Collaboration with Kate Murdoch

Kate Murdoch's practice is centred around a lifetime collection of books, clothing, found images and objects both from her own life and from the lives of others. (www.katemurdochartist.com)
Kate and I are working on collecting and presenting "42 Objections of Affection". Our cabinet will feature objects connected to couples, places, religious idols and pop memorabilia. This is how it looks so far...
